Belzona SuperWrap II
Composite repair system for restoring the strength of holed, weakened and corroded pipe and tank walls.
Carbon fibre and fibre glass repair system designed and applied in accordance with ISO24817 and ASME PCC-2 standards.
The composite wrap system, Belzona SuperWrap II, offers a new generation repair solution for restoring the strength of holed, weakened and corroded pipe and tank walls. The composite wrap is comprised of a 100% solids resin system, a bespoke hybrid reinforcement sheet, based on fibre glass and carbon fibre, as well as a release film to compact and consolidate the application.
Belzona Superwrap II can be designed and applied in accordance with ISO24817 and ASME PCC-2 standards and applied by trained and accredited applicators and supervisors. Rezitech is accredited to deliver this training at our authorised training facility in Hallam Victoria.

Belzona SuperWrap II is specially designed to facilitate the fast and simple, in-situ repair of through-wall and thin-wall defects on pipes and tank walls. The composite wrap technology can even be applied in aqueous environments (including underwater). It is a reliable alternative to welding and mitigates the need to replace defective metallic substrates, whilst providing superior strength, chemical and corrosion resistance. The composite wrap allows for quick and easy repair of equipment within various industries, including oil and gas, power generation and marine.
The tank and pipe repair system is available in four different resin grades, Belzona 1981, Belzona 1982, Belzona 1983 and Belzona 1984, making it suitable for applications in various environments and climates. It is also suitable for service temperatures ranging from -60°C (-76°F) up to 150°C (302°F).
- Can be designed and applied in accordance with ISO24817 and ASME PCC-2 standards and applied by trained and validated personnel
- Quick and easy to install, without the need for shutdown
- Can be applied in damp, wet and underwater environments without the need for abrasive blasting
- Belzona paste-grade materials are available for the restoration of pitted surfaces prior to application of the composite wrap system
- Can be used in service temperatures ranging from -60 °C (-76 °F) up to 150 °C (302 °F)
- Outstanding chemical and corrosion resistance
- Thermal expansion coefficient similar to that of steel, reducing build-up of strain due to thermal cycling
- Excellent adhesion to carbon steel
- Reduced health and safety risks thanks to solvent-free technology
- Validated training available for Belzona SuperWrap II Designers, Supervisors and Installers, providing specific theoretical knowledge and practical skills
Applications for SuperWrap II include:
- Compliant or conventional Belzona SuperWrap II composite wrap system for the repair of complex geometries of pipes including bends, straights and tees
- Compliant or conventional, wet-applied Belzona SuperWrap II composite patch for composite patch repairs of large diameter pipes (over 60 cm (23.6 in)) and tank walls
- Conventional, prefabricated and pre-cured composite plate manufactured from Belzona SuperWrap II for plate bonding applications
- Conventional, prefabricated and pre-cured composite pad designed using Belzona SuperWrap II for pipe support – this can be overcoated with an erosion-resistant coating, for example, Belzona 1331, for additional protection and can be formed on site, resulting in minimum lead time

SUPERWRAP II APPLICATION
Belzona SuperWrap II Composite Pad
Prefabricated composite wear pad.
Belzona SuperWrap II Composite Pad has been designed as a direct replacement for rolled steel plates, using the SuperWrap II system.
⚠️ Steel plates have many challenges including:
- Weight: Very difficult to handle
- Corrosion: If kept on site or uncoated they will start to corrode
- Geometry: Often they can arrive to site under or over rolled as manufacturing is completed off site
- Heat: Can get very hot to handle in summer months
- OHS Issues: As they can be very heavy, this can cause concerns with manual handling
- Difficult application: Due to their weight, can be difficult to apply to underside of pipes manually

The Belzona Composite Pad system offers a new generation repair solution for restoring the strength of holed, weakened and corroded pipe and tank walls.
It is comprised of a fluid-grade resin system, a bespoke hybrid reinforcement sheet, based on fibre glass and carbon fibre, as well as a release film to compact and consolidate the application.
- High strength carbon fibre and fiberglass material
- Lightweight so very easy to handle and removes potential OHS problems
- Will not corrode so can be stored onsite
- Custom made so fits perfectly to the geometry of each pipe or tank
- No welding is required, as it can be bonded using Belzona paste-grade material for cold bonding, providing a safe solution.

SUPERWRAP II APPLICATION
Belzona SuperWrap II Composite Patch
Composite repair system for when a full circumferential wrap is not practical.
Belzona SuperWrap II Composite Patch is specially designed to facilitate the fast and simple, in-situ repair of through-wall and thin-wall defects on pipes and tank walls. It is a reliable alternative to welding and mitigates the need to replace defective metallic substrates, whilst providing superior strength, chemical and corrosion resistance.

Belzona Composite Patch is a simple and effective solution to small areas of thin or through wall defects on tanks and pipes. Due to the strength of the SuperWrap II system, the Belzona composite patch is often used as a replacement for welding steel plates. The application requires not hot work, so is the chosen solution by many looking to remove OHS issues.
Application is simple:
- Prepare the surface per instructions for use document
- Clean the surface with appropriate solvent
- Cut reinforcement sheet to size
- Wet the substrate and reinforcement sheet out
- Roll onto the pipe or tank
- Job Done!
Key Benefits:
- Quick and easy to apply
- Excellent adhesion to carbon steel
- Can be used in service temperatures from -60 °C (-76 °F) up to 150°C (302°F)
- Outstanding chemical and corrosion resistance
- Can be designed and applied in accordance with ISO24817 and ASME PCC-2 standards and applied by trained and validated personnel
