The Belzona system for pumps using Belzona 1111 (Super Metal) and Belzona 1341 (Supermetalglide) is a cold-applied, durable solution that provides long-term repair and protection from erosion-corrosion to the internal area of a pump.
It has been engineered to have excellent bonding to metals including stainless steel, duplex steels, carbon steel, aluminium, cast iron and bronze as well as specialist alloys and other materials.
This Belzona repair can be achieved with minimal downtime and at a much lower cost than direct part replacement.
Efficiency Improvement: Belzona coatings can enhance efficiency by up to 3-8% in new pumps and an impressive 20% in those already in service.
Efficiency Enhancement
Belzona 1341 (Supermetalglide) improves pump efficiency by using hydrophobic technology to repel process fluids and reduce turbulent flow. Efficiency increases of up to 7% have been recorded on new equipment and up to 20% on refurbished equipment.
Belzona’s high-performance coating has been specially developed to improve efficiency of pumps, pipes, valves and other fluid handling equipment while protecting them from the effects of erosion-corrosion.
By protecting components with a Belzona polymeric coating, it is possible to restore flow rates and even increase efficiency levels beyond the original specification.
