PROBLEM
A pipe elbow on a major fuel line at a fuel terminal in NSW was suffering from severe external corrosion and required urgent repairs.
APPLICATION
Belzona SuperWrap II was selected as the repair solution as it offered a fast and simple, in-situ repair of the corrosion related through-wall and thin-wall defects in the pipe elbow. The Belzona SuperWrap II composite repair solution mitigates the need to replace defective metallic substrates as it restores strength to weakened or holed metallic substrates, and offers a reliable alternative to welding.

It is comprised of a fluid-grade resin system, a bespoke hybrid reinforcement sheet, based on fibre glass and carbon fibre, as well as a release film to compact and consolidate the application..
