PROBLEM
The area adjacent to the stern ramp of a trawling vessel is a high-traffic zone, subjected to constant crew movement and heavy, catch-laden nets dragged across the deck.
In 2000 the engineer in charge applied a Belzona 4000 product to provide a durable, non-slip surface. Twenty years later, only localised areas required attention, which were repaired using Belzona 4111 (Magma-Quartz).

APPLICATION
The localized areas were mechanically abraded and repaired with Belzona 4111 (Magma-Quartz) to deliver high mechanical and impact strength along with excellent long-term abrasion resistance.

OUTCOME
The same engineer applied both Belzona products twenty years apart, clearly demonstrating the durability and robustness of the original application and making it an easy choice to use Belzona again for the localised repairs.
