Machine and Workshop Services

Our specialised protective coating application service is supported ably by our workshops which include a purpose built grit blaster, which is 7m long x 3m wide x 3m high.

Within our grit blasting facility, we are capable of achieving a Class 3 cleanliness standard and a surface roughness profile up to 130 microns.

We also have a 40m2 application room which is temperature and humidity controlled, providing the optimum environment for coating application.

We have a 15 tonne overhead crane, monorail, wash bay, and welding bay.

Our machine shop is also fully equipped with a number of lathes, milling machine and a radial drilling machine.

PUMP REPAIRS

Liquid ring vacuum pumps predominantly operate in environments where the vacuum pump is used in a process involving evaporation or dewatering. These applications subject the vacuum pumps to erosion damage due to "carry over" of solids into the vacuum pump, coupled with corrosion due to chemicals and/or contamination in the process.

A corrosion/erosion cycle often occurs whereby the metal in the vacuum pump is "softened" by corrosion, allowing the metal to be readily "eroded" by carry over of solids through the vacuum pump.

By utilising the Belzona Ceramic Metals system, the corrosion problem can be totally eliminated. In addition, the Belzona coatings are very resistant to erosion.

The system effectively breaks down the corrosion/erosion cycle resulting in repaired vacuum pumps providing a service life far in excess of an unprotected unit.
